Shared Lunch

This is a copy of the notice that will be coming home tomorrow.  I am putting it up on our blog just in case some get lost along the way!

To celebrate a successful first term and to say farewell to Fathin before he moves to Indonesia, Fab-Five have decided we would like to have a shared lunch this Thursday 2nd April.

We are asking that all children bring some food suitable for sharing with others in the class.  There will be a place set aside in the classroom for students to leave their food in the morning or if you would like to drop something off at lunchtime, we will be eating at 12:30pm in Room 5.

Today in Fab Five

Today we had only 14 of our class left due to all the entrants who were away working hard at the Weetbix Tryathlon.  We had some of 'Triple L' join us for the day and decided to create a collaborative collage mural to brighten up our school hallways.

 Cutting up all the coffee filters we had painted with liquid watercolours...

... then sorting all our pieces into colours...

... and finally gluing all the pieces together to create the parts of our picture.

We can't wait to have it completely finished and ready to put up on display!

 After some of our very proud Tryathletes returned, we finished the day with a game.

Fab Five's Tennis Talents

We are enjoying our weekly sports rotations on Tuesday afternoon.  So far we have had coaching sessions in badminton, soccer, golf and cricket.  This week we began hockey and got to show off our talents on the tennis court.

Multiplication Masters

We have been discussing how knowing our times tables makes our other maths learning so much easier and is useful in everyday life.  

Here is a link to the video we have been using this week to help us practice our three times table.  This has been new learning for many so make sure you keep practicing at home.

We will be focussing on a new set of times tables each week until we are Multiplication Masters!

Camp Green Pastures

Fab Five have spent three days at camp learning new skills, how to work as a team and having an amazing amount of fun and laughs!
